Background Checks

The College of Education and Health Professions requires a clear background check for each teacher candidate who will participate in community and school placements. You can obtain a background check for $30 from Certified Background by clicking on this link. Click on "Students" and enter "CD44" in the package code box. 

Please note that the State of Georgia requires a Signed Release Form from the applicant in order to conduct a Georgia criminal check.  After you have ordered your certified background check, they will send you a form to sign and fax back to them.  If you do not fax the form back in a timely manner, your order will be put on hold until the form is received.
